Wool, cotton and other fibers
Wool:
The world is grown in different types of sheep and their wool is different in its properties. Wool quality also depends on the local sheep it docked.
- Of all the textile fibers, wool is best warmth.
- Wool fiber has the ability to retain a large amount of moisture, while the weather is hot and dry. When wearing a woolen products relative skin surface moisture is high enough. When you wear woolen clothes the body don't sweat because the minimum moisture is evaporated. Of all the textile fibers, wool is best warmth.
- The desert or on a hot summer day are advised to wear clothes made of fine wool fabric. This helps to keep the body moisture. As well as the woolen fiber has the ability to repel water, drops of water trickles from woollens.
- A woolen fabric easily absorbs odors, such as the smell of sweat, but at the same time neutralize it. Therefore wearing woolen clothes less sweat felt than wearing synthetic clothing.
- Over time, the product of the wool fiber has the ability to thin. Fiber is not resistant to alkalis, bleach, heat and sunlight.
Woolen products can not dress immediately after drying.
Linen:
Linen makes the best micro-climate of the skin, breathable, absorbs moisture and perspiration.
Linen indispensable in the summer, as evenly disperse moisture and keeps the body temperature, and pleasantly warm in the winter. Flax has antibacterial properties, is breathable, suitable for allergy sufferers.
From ancient medicine is a well-known anti-allergic properties of flax and effects against bacteria and fungi. Linen products 5 times more resistant to abrasion (abrasion) than cotton. Linen products 3 times stronger than cotton products.
Linen fabric over the years not only will not yellow but is becoming whiter and softer.
Linen fabric antistatic, so does not attract dust and is especially recommended for the electric charge in sensitive people. Linen fabric is ecogreen. This is a completely waste-free product, nature and ecology do not cause any harmful effects.
Bamboo:
Growing bamboo is not a use of pesticides and other chemicals. Bamboo waste in the soil is fully decomposed by sunlight and microorganisms. Therefore, products from bamboo - Organic!
Socks made from 100% bamboo has unique characteristics:
- Natural bamboo fiber has anti-bacterial properties: inhibits the growth of bacteria and prevents the occurrence of mold and fungus. Lithuanian National Institute for Public Health Research Centre of Microbiology laboratory studies, the material of bamboo yarn is not developing some microbes.
- Daily amount of bacteria on 100% bamboo fabric surface is reduced by more than 1200 times. Because of these properties using products made from 100% bamboo, is not the smell of suffocation.
- Fast water absorption capacity (absorbency rate) - bamboo fiber absorbs moisture 4 times faster than cotton.
- High water absorption (moisture content): bamboo fiber 1.6 to 1.7 times more absorbent than cotton.
- Bamboo fiber softness and structure similar to silk, they are light natural luster.
- Even the filthiest of bamboo fiber products easily washed with a simple soap at 30 degree temperature.
- Bamboo products are recommended for everyone, especially for children and babies, people with skin problems and asthma patients.
Cotton:
- Cotton - one of the most commonly used fibers of clothing production. Cotton absorbs moisture well and is antistatic.
- Cotton is perfect for clothing, are in direct contact with human skin. Cotton fiber allows the body to breathe and at the same time protect it from overheating.
- Cotton fabric is very sturdy and is hard to break. The disadvantage is that it is very creasing. Influence of direct sunlight can cause yellowing of cotton fabric and gradually begins to smolder. Humidity and air pollution accelerates this process.
Viscose:
- Their characteristics are similar to rayon cotton, but absorbs moisture better and is therefore more hygienic fiber.
- Viscose fabric is lightweight and soft.
- Pure viscose is glossy and semi-translucent.
- Unfortunately, rayon curls better than cotton.
- Viscose is antistatic.
Polyamide:
- It is a synthetic fiber which is elastic and non-shrink and highly resistant to abrasion (approximately 10 times better than cotton and 20 times more than wool).
- Polyamide disadvantages are that it is static and has very little resistance to environmental effects and solar radiation, fades and tends into peeling.
- Polyamide products provide strength and longer service life.
Polyester:
- This chemical fiber, the positive qualities are a very strong, abrasion-resistant, almost uncrushable and does not absorb moisture so the fabric dries faster.
- Polyester is often blended with wool, cotton and flax. Such products are less creasing, retain their shape, are more resistant to abrasion.
Polyacrylate:
- It is a synthetic fiber that is more resilient than rayon and acetate, resulting in less creasing.
- Acrylic does not absorb moisture, so it dries faster and is easier to maintain.
- Acrylic is often blended with other fibers and is used of fabrics.
Spandex:
- Spandex fiber is not durable and quite susceptible to heat.
- High-temperature fiber can cause yellowing.
- Generally, spandex is used with other fibers.
Even a small percentage of spandex fabric provides elasticity
